  • Girls' Netball Rally

    Sat 25 Feb 2023

On Saturday 25th February, we took a team to take part in the District Girls' Netball Rally, which was held at Ryefield School.  The team played well throughout their group phase matches of the competition, beating Oak Farm B 2-0, but unfortunately, our team did not progress to the quarter finals.  All eight girls who played did very well and we are very proud of all of their performances and great sportsmanship in their matches!  Thank you to all the parents who came and supported us during this competition.

  • Rock Show Live

    Mon 13 Feb 2023

Do you know what glass is made of? Have you ever seen a rock that is over 1 million years old?

Last week, Year 3 pupils had the chance to go and see The Uxbridge Rock Show Live at Uxbridge Library. This links in really well with our Science topic this term. Lots of children found it fascinating to see all of the various types of rocks. Plus, they learnt lots of new interesting facts.

  • Safer Internet Day - 7 February 2023

    Mon 06 Feb 2023

Safer Internet Day 2023 will take place on the 7th of February 2023. This year's theme is: ‘Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online’. Organised by the UK Safer Internet Centre, Safer Internet Day aims to promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people. Whilst key messages and resources will be explored within school (and already feature on our curriculum), families have been sent an optional activity which encourages family discussion about 'No tech or better with tech?'.

  • Children's Mental Health Week 6-12 February 2023

    Mon 06 Feb 2023

This week, we will be exploring Place2Be's 'Children's Mental Health Week' on the theme of 'Let's Connect'. As Place2Be write: 'This year's theme is Let’s Connect and  is about making meaningful connections. People thrive in communities, and this connection is vital for our wellbeing. Having healthy connections – to family, friends and others – can support our mental health and sense of wellbeing.'  Our pupils will also be looking at daily affirmations, for example, 'I am not afraid to fail' and each class will experience a yoga session.
