  • Choral Poetry Competition

    Tue 17 Jul 2018

What a delightful morning we have had today, enjoying a choral poetry performance from each class, performed in the sunshine in our playground. Each class gave a fantastic performance with poetry choices being both modern and traditional. Thanks to our Chair of Governors, Angela Doherty, for joining Mrs Moloi and Mrs Upfield on the judging panel. Scores were awarded for different categories, including: volume, diction, expression, actions and use of shared parts. The results were very close but the winning Lower School class was 4T for an outstanding performance of 'The Key to the Castle' by Dave Calder. The winning Upper School class was 6D who gave a lively and very slick performance of Maya Angelou's 'Life doesn't frighten me at all'. Thanks to all teachers and pupils for a wonderful start to the day!
