Welcome Dragonflies, Bees and Ladybirds
Welcome back to you all. We hope that you have had an enjoyable break and are ready for an enjoyable Spring term.
We have an exciting spring term planned which is based around our topic ‘All Around Us’. This unit explores our geographical skills and the ability to identify the similarities and differences between countries within the United Kingdom. This will all contribute to a holiday fair which celebrate the results of the unit at the end of the term.
We will continue to study a variety of text in English including ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes and ‘One Plastic Bag’ by Isatou Ceesay. In addition to this, we will read a range of poetry; in mathematics we will consolidate our knowledge and understanding and apply our skills to solve investigations; in science we will study ‘Magnetic Forces’ as well as Rocks.
Please continue to remember to bring your PE kits on a Wednesday and a Thursday. Please make sure that jewellery is not worn on these days, including earrings.
Our online programmes such as, Bug Club, Mathletics and Times Table Rock Stars will still be available. All information about these are on page 3 within your pupil planner.
Homework for this year will be as follows:
