Happiness at the heart of learning

SPEAKING and LISTENING

Speaking and Listening

It is really important that you and your family keep talking! Talking improves confidence and boosts vocabulary skills.

A really good way to develop the skills of speaking and listening is to play games. These can be indoor or in the garden if you have one.

Board games and card games are an excellent choice. Doing a puzzle together or even just sitting together drawing and chatting about your pictures is a great way to boost communication.

Having a good chat during daily exercise is also a great way to improve these skills.

Remember - communication is talking but also listening and asking questions to find out more, sharing what we know but also taking the time to learn more.
