Parental Guides for Supporting your Child with Online Safety

We are subscribed to an online service called National Online Safety, which provides a vast range of resources for parents, teachers and children to ensure child safety whilst using online resources.

National Online Safety also provide fantastic information sheets on apps, game, websites and phenomenon that children may come across whilst using devices with online access.

Whilst we will share these with you periodically, you may wish to set up your own account to access these guides.

Below are some handy information sheets to help you step-by-step update your settings on apple and android products to reduce the risk of harmful material reaching your child. Although these are set up in a style for phone, they can easily be used the same way on tablet devices.

We will continuously be updating this page with useful content and sources of advice to ensure your children are kept safe when accessing the internet.  Please make use of the links below to protect your children at home too.

Our 'Safe Use of ICT' policy can be found on our 'Policies' page.

Guidance on anti-cyber bullying can be found within our 'Feel Safe & Secure' (anti-bullying) policy. For ease of access, this is also outlined below.

See also 'Internet Safety' page within the 'Children' menu.
