Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On the afternoon of Friday 15th December, our Year 6 pupils visited St. Margaret’s Church in Uxbridge. This visit enabled the children to see inside a Christian place of worship and learn about the history of the church. This trip was organised to support the pupils' learning of Religious Education.
On Tuesday 5th and Monday 11th December, all Year 6 pupils took park in first aid training, led by our school's health and safety company. The purpose of this training was to teach our pupils basic first aid, such as: dealing with common injuries (such as head injuries), how to put someone into the recovery position and how to carry out CPR. The children enjoyed learning these important skills. This teaching is part of our health education within our PSHE (personal, social, health and economic) curriculum.
Last week, Year 4 had the opportunity to go to Kidzania in Westfield's Shopping Centre at Shepherd's Bush. All of the children had an amazing time! Kidzania gave our pupils the opportunity to role play realistic adult jobs and earn currency which they were then able to spend at the very end. Lots of children preferred the aspect of earning money rather than spending it; some children even chose to keep their Kidzos and take them home with them.
