School Council
Welcome to our School Council Page
The Whitehall Junior School Council motto is:
'Your Views, Our Vision'
and we hold strong to the agreed School Council aims:
1) We listen and try to solve problems.
2) We make links with our whole school community.
3) We see things as they really are and try to understand different points of view.
4) We help build friendships among us all.
Our School Council is made up from elected children across the pupils' community, with each class having a School Council representative. Our council members work closely with their class lead teacher. Our focus for last year was 'Investors in Pupils' and we succesfully achieved this status. Our next step will be ensuring that healthy snacks are brought in to school.
Houses of Parliament
We were recently fortunate to visit the Houses of Parliament. We had the amazing opportunity of going into the House of Lords as well as seeing the ceremonial Speaker's Procession. We also learnt more about the Guy Fawkes event and how women obtained the right to vote.
