Happiness at the heart of learning

Year 5 Daily Learning Tasks

Year 5 Home Learning

Dear Families,

Over the summer holidays, we will not be setting daily home learning tasks, however, all pupils will have a transition homework task. These transition tasks/booklet will help you to tell your new teacher more about yourself. You should have received an email about the transition tasks/booklet. Alternatively, this information can be found by clicking on the 'Year Group Pages' menu and selecting the relevant year group page (below the 'Home Learning' pencil menu). Click on the coloured spiral linked to the year group required.

For those of you who have found the routine of home learning beneficial, we encourage you to take a look at the 'additional resources' page (the yellow pencil on our 'home learning' page) as this contains plenty of ideas for further study. You can continue to explore the content on the Oak National Academy site. One of the best things you can do is read, read and read!  Our curriculum overviews, at the bottom of our 'curriculum and assessment' page (in the 'key information' menu), can point you in the right direction if you wish to read up on some of the topics you will encounter in your new year group.

We hope you are able to enjoy some quality time together as a family. Take care of yourselves and we look forward to welcoming you back in September.

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2020

Every year, the Summer Reading Challenge encourages and supports children in Hillingdon to enjoy a summer of brilliant books. This year's theme and inspiration is Silly Squad - a celebration of funny books, happiness, and laughter - and there's a new format.

From June to September, 4 to 11-year-olds can join a new online version of this popular initiative, run by libraries and The Reading Agency. For further details on how to take part please visit the website https://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/summerreading.
