The Ladybirds' class were delighted today, when they received a card in the post from HM King Charles III. The card acknowledged their shared class letter, written one afternoon in September on their working wall. Having considered how to use formal language to share their condolences on the death of HM The Queen, the Ladybirds worked together to compose a letter expressing their feelings. It was then decided that, as we are learning to write for a real purpose, a copy of the writing on the board should be made and posted off to Buckingham Palace. The children gasped with surprise when they were shown the card and learnt that their letter received an actual reply.
