Year 6 River Study Fieldwork Trip
Learning outside the classroom environment is a very powerful teaching and learning tool and all Year 6 pupils took part in a fieldwork trip on either Wednesday 3rd or Wednesday 17th June to support their learning in their study of rivers in geography. They visited Kew Bridge in London and were given the opportunity to take part in river dipping in the River Thames, and they also learnt about river pollution, species of animals and the journey a river takes. The children gained a lot from this trip to support their learning of rivers in the classroom.
