Year 5 Brunel Book Club: Celebration Event

On Tuesday 19th May, twelve selected Year 5 pupils were fortunate to attend Brunel University’s celebration event for Book Club. This was an event organised to celebrate, and display, all the work that was produced during their eight-week book club sessions and the event was thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended. These pupils completed a poetry workshop in the morning, led by Daljit Nagra (a British poet, professor, and radio presenter) and in the afternoon, they completed their work from the eight-week book club sessions.  All of these pupils' work, including the scrapbook created during the book club, will be showcased in Uxbridge Library for all to see between Saturday 23rd May to Saturday 6th June.  It was wonderful to see these pupils' successes and witness them receiving their certificate for completion of the book club course for this academic year.
