The beginning of the end
The holidays have been and gone! I hope you have all had a fantastic summer and are fully prepared for your next academic year. An exciting prospect awaits you in the next couple of weeks: the start of your final year at Whitehall Junior school.
The autumn term will be a busy one, and you will be expected to work harder than ever. There will be lots of fun along the way, with new after-school clubs to try out, school trips to attend, and new friends to make, so make sure that you take advantage of every opportunity.
I hope you are all eager to get your teeth stuck into your work and are looking forward to the many learning opportunities throughout the year. This half term we will start learning about World War 2 and the impact it had on Britain. We will also begin to enjoy ‘Robin Hood’ and ‘There’s a boy in the girls bathroom’. What is even more exciting is that our assembly is fast approaching and we are the first class in the school to perform!
I will be keen to find out any of your book recommendations from your summer reads as I read a few thrillers which I’m sure you will wish to divulge into.
The year 6 team will have such a wonderful time getting to know you. We are all approachable individuals therefore if you need anything in the upcoming days, weeks or year, we are here to help, support and encourage you to do the best that you can do.
KEEP CALM AND SWIM ON!
