What an action packed Spring term you have had: a professional athlete, Daniel Lewis, visiting the school, World Book Day, Science Week, Friendship Week, International Evening and all of the action packed lessons you have had. There have been many highlights from the year so far and some of these can be seen in the slideshows on this page.
This year seems to be flying by; we only have the summer term left! I have been very pleased with how well you have all done so far this year and I am looking forward to seeing all of the progress you will make during the remainder of this year. If you all continue showing great motivation and commitment towards your work we are going to have a very successful term and you will be more than ready for Year 6.
We have many things to look forward to in our upcoming lessons: in English we will study and enjoy the texts 'Snow White In New York' by Fiona French, 'Skellig' by David Almond and stories by Gill Howell; in Mathematics we will develop our skills further and apply these to investigations; in science we will finish our topic 'Earth and Beyond' and we will then move onto our new theme 'Habitats and Life Processes' and we will start our learning about 'Invaders and Settlers' in our topic lessons. As well as this, we have our Wembley Stadium trip booked for Thursday 26th April, our Viking Day on Tuesday 1st May and our class assembly on Friday 25th May to look forward to.
It would be really helpful if you continued to practice your maths and reading in addition to the weekly homework which you're set - below are some really useful links.
I am very much looking forward to this term with you all!
