River Studies at Denham Country Park
Learning outside the classroom environment is a very powerful teaching and learning tool and all Year 6 pupils took part in a fieldwork trip on either Tuesday 20 or Wednesday 21st June to support their learning in their study of rivers in geography. They visited the Denham Country Park and were given the opportunity to take part in river dipping in the River Misbourne, and they also learnt how to measure the depth, width, and speed of flow of rivers. The children gained a lot from this trip to support their learning of rivers in the classroom.
