I can’t believe that we are already half way through the year! Before you know it you will be making your way up to year 5. I have been really impressed with the way in which you have progressed so far this year and have strived to improve your skills across the curriculum.
Don’t forget that we will now be going swimming every Tuesday. This is such an invaluable skill; please remember to bring your swimming kit with you every Tuesday morning as well as a coat, particularly whilst the weather is still very cold.
This term we will be continuing to broaden our knowledge about the Romans and I am looking forward to researching and making trebuchets with you in DT. We will also be learning about systems within our body, teeth and electricity in Science. Please feel free to do any further research on these topics at home to keep one step ahead.
Congratulations to our recent winners of the Reading Race. Our new race will commence from the first day back. To be in with a chance of winning this time round please remember to keep reading at home every night and to record this in your planner.
We will also be starting a new timetables challenge to see who amongst you can learn all of your timetables’ up to 12x 12 by the end of the academic year. Don’t worry, for those of you that already do some further challenges will be set.
Just to remind you, your homework should be brought into school every Monday morning and you will be tested on your timetables’ and spelling every Friday morning.
Keep up the hard work guys!
Mrs Keane and Mrs Symss.
