Welcome back after your half-term holiday break! I hope you are well rested and you have had a wonderful time with your family.
What a busy spring term we have had so far – action packed lessons, a trip to the synagogue and battling through cold weather and snow!
We still have many things to look forward to in our upcoming lessons this half term: in English we will study and enjoy the texts ‘This is NOT a Fairy Tale’ by Jeremy Strong and ‘Snow White in New York’ by Fiona French; in Mathematics we will consolidate our knowledge and understanding and apply these to investigations; in science we will start a new unit ‘Earth and Space’ and we will continue with our topic lessons on ‘North America’.
As well as this, you will continue to have swimming lessons from Monday 25th February, 1.30-3.30 this half term. It is essential that you bring in your kit each week. This includes a swimming costume, for girls and swimming trunks/shorts for boys, a towel and a bag to keep your kit in. A swimming hat is required for those with long hair. Please also make sure that jewellery is not worn on this day, including watches and earrings, as you are not allowed to wear such items during swimming lessons.
Something else to look forward to is our upcoming International Evening performance on Wednesday 3rd April – we will have an action packed half-term learning our dances and songs for the show!
It would be really helpful if you continue to practice your maths and reading in addition to completing your weekly Mathletics homework - below are some really useful links.
I am very much looking forward to our half term together!
